MathQuest: Sets; Sorting and Grouping

We were learning about sets. We were introduced to several MathQuest counters.

There were Connecting People, Dinosaurs, stars, Fruities and many more. While playing with them, we learned how to sort them by colours, patterns, models, designs, sizes and so on.

Jue Ning and Yue Yang were sorting the blue and yellow Connecting People.
Reese, Wen Kang and Nathan wanted to arrange the dinosaurs by type.
On the following lesson...

Everyone paired up, and were tasked to group their item together in a ziplog. Next Miss Raudha hid the sets of counters around the classroom. We played Treasure Hunt (except that they aren't treasures). When it was hard to locate the sets, we referred to the clue map Miss Raudha drew.

"Start looking!!!"

"Let's check the clue map!", said the boys.

"We found a set!", exclaimed Phoebe.

MathQuest is fun!!!
